Founder and owner of Thomas Field Solutions and Thomas Construction
Matt Thomas has built his business from the ground up, working with soil, sand and aggregates for over 20 years. What started out as a firewood business in 1995, has quickly grown into a thriving operation that services homeowners and commercial businesses for their construction and field needs.
MATT LEVITRE
Landscape Specialist
Matt Levitre began working with Thomas Construction in 2006 and oversees the landscaping-side of the business. Matt L. knows his stuff when is comes to soils, plants and maneuvering a tractor. Matt was raised on a dairy farm in Vermont and attained a Dairy Science degree from Vermont Technical College in 2003.

OUR STORY
Matt Thomas bought his first dump truck in 1995. He began selling firewood and delivering sawdust to local farms. In 1997 Matt bought a tandem dump truck. Shortly after, in 1998, Matt purchased a tandem axle Western Star, which he still has today!
Over time, as Matt's experiences and knowledge expanded, so did his business. Thomas Construction has grown steadily year after year. Through the steady growth, Thomas Construction has remained small. In 2017, Thomas Field Solutions was launched.
Thomas Field Solutions is thankful to have a handful of talented sub-contractors to work with as needed, providing quality products and services for all jobs, large or small.
Matt T. and Matt L. (known as Matt2) enjoy the North Country seasons—found plowing snow and loading sand/salt mixtures during the winter months or fabricating steel and refurbishing equipment in the shop. When Spring hits, they are busy cleaning up what Winter left behind, delivering bark mulch and soil mixes. During the summer, Matt2 are busy making sand and soil mixes, renovating baseball fields, topdressing and maintaining existing fields.
Fall is busiest with athletic field maintenance (in preparation of the Spring rains) and getting out those last-minute mound sand orders.
